A recent workday at the Berryville Public Library. Jan Scheel, Regina and Randy Hooten, Anita Engert, and Jennifer Hudspeth mulched the garden beds, deadheaded spent foliage on tulips and daffodils, raked, weeded, and removed (actually tackled) an unfortunately dead Japanese Maple tree. The spring rains are very welcome. The garden looks lovely with late-blooming tulips and daffodils, iris and catmint, hosta, and ferns. Peonies and roses will soon be in full bloom. For the last several years, a Robin has built her nest in the Blue Atlas Cedar. We were happy to see the Robins had again returned when we discovered their new nest in the cedar. The next workday is Tuesday, April 23.
