April 11 workday at Little Lake Eureka was a productive one. Jerry and Linda shaped the boxwoods, including the deer topiary, which is filling in nicely. Jennifer is thinning the sedum groundcover that seems to love this garden. We noticed that the deer have been browsing on the Gulf Coast Penstemon in the garden. Our next workday is scheduled for April 25 at 10am. We have attached a notebook to the back of our Master Gardener sign with work suggestions and any Master Gardener is welcome to acquire sanctioned work time in this garden! Please contact Jennifer Boardman for an orientation session beforehand.
