A recent workday at the Berryville Public Library. The perennials in the garden are beautiful. The peonies, iris, brunnera, ajuga, polygonatum (Solomon’s Seal), and polemonium (Jacob’s Ladder) are all in bloom. Anita Engert and Jennifer Hudspeth weeded, pruned, and transplanted hosta, hellebore, and iris to new locations in the garden. A weeping Japanese maple was planted in the bed under the large white oak. Scheduled library workdays are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. The next workday is Tuesday, May 14 at 9 am.
