Spring has sprung in the Berryville Public Library garden! The bulbs we planted in previous years are blooming beautifully. Master gardeners Jan Scheel, Anita Engert, and Jennifer Hudspeth worked and discussed plans for the season. The blue atlas cedar and hollies were fertilized, with plans to fertilize hydrangeas and perennials at our next workday. We started spring clean up of the beds, removed dead perennial foliage, pruned, and raked leaves. We weren’t able to get to the leaves in the fall, so we are planning an extra workday to tackle this chore. Next scheduled workday is Tuesday, March 26 at 9am, and we will update members when we have leaf removal workday scheduled.
