Library staff leading one of the children’s summer programs in the garden

Our workday at the Berryville Public Library began with Sue Davis, Karen Reeves, Anita Engert, and Jennifer Hudspeth. Sue and Karen pulled weeds and pruned the Oakleaf Hydrangeas in front of the library while Anita and Jennifer worked in the back garden.

A second Japanese Yew ‘Emerald Spreader’ and three annual White Lantana were planted in the center bed. Daylilies were deadheaded and groomed, and plans were discussed regarding future shrub and perennial placement. Thank you to Nancy Plagge for installing the plaque on the memorial bench. Next workday will be Wednesday, July 28 at 8:00am.
