A big thank you to CCMG members. Mary Burks. Regina Hooten, Lisa Anderson and Brenda Bennett. After a great deal of cleanup in the garden, pansies were planted to fill in the bare spots and add some color. Also Mary Burks donated an ornamental cabbage for the front entrance
Tuesday the garden at the Green Forest Library got quite the clean up by Stacee Nuckolls, Julie Sooter, as Cynthia Osborne was installing the watering system. Thank you ladies the garden looks great. The sunflowers tower over the garden it’s real pretty.
Great day at the GF Library garden. Thanks to Stacee Nuckolls and Brenda Champlin. Weeds were pulled a bit of deadheading and name tags were added.
Had a very productive work day at Green Forest. Lots of weeding was done, and the volunteer sunflowers were thinned out. Stacee Nuckolls planted Lantana, Zinnia Profusion, and Periwinkle, which was provided by our speaker at our meeting, and mulch was laid. It looks fabulous. Thank you to Stacee Nuckolls and Julie Sooter.
Had great weather for the workday at the Green Forest Library, along with easy weed pulling due to all the rain. A lot of sunflowers were thinned out which were taking over the garden. The blooms are not quite popping out yet, so a few plants were added for some color, like Purslane and Portulaca,
Sincere appreciation is extended to Kristy Nobel-Tesch who contributed on Monday, and to Vonnie Dikeman, Cynthia Osborne, Brenda Champlin, and Julie Sooter who met today, pulled weeds, watered, and performed considerable cleanup.
Here are pictures of the Green Forest Library. The daffodils have finished and the tulips have begun to bloom. The hosts are starting to peak through the mulch Hopefully the forecast of the cold doesn’t happen! Workdays will be planned in the next few weeks but for now the garden looks pretty good.
