Thanks to Jan Scheel and Kristy Noble for putting in extra time during the week and watering in the library garden. At today’s scheduled 2nd Tuesday workday, Jan got there early and got everything watered. Lori Wilson-Ball, Anita Engert, and Jennifer Hudspeth deadheaded and cleaned up spent daylily and perennial debris, weeded, and picked bagworms from the Horstmann Blue Spruce and the Japanese Maple. The Naked Ladies (Amaryllis Belladonna) are beautiful and have popped up in the garden, and the Rose of Sharon/Althea (Hibiscus syriacus) is in bloom. The Limelight and Bobo Panicle Hydrangeas in full bloom. The library garden is a lovely, shaded respite in the center of town during the heat of summer.
