Little Lake Eureka 6/12/25

We had a workday at Little Lake Eureka on June 12.  Kim Yonkee, Darla Danvers, Linda Rogers, and Jennifer Boardman volunteered to help that day.  We marked more spring narcissus bulb clumps for division and then removed their dead leaves, pruned and tidied up the lamb’s ear, cleaned the spillway drain (important to prevent flooding in our garden beds), managed our ground cover varieties to keep them in check, and did quite a bit of weeding all over.  There was plenty of work there for our 2 hour workday.  Several cars drove by and thanked us for taking care of the garden, which made all the work worthwhile!   Any Master Gardener is welcome to come and earn sanctioned project hours at this garden.  If you have not been oriented here, please contact Jennifer Boardman, project chair, to meet, or come to a workday.

Our next workday will be this Thursday, June 26 beginning at 8:30am.  If you cannot make it this early, please come when you can!  There are some members that need an earlier starting time due to scheduling conflicts and hot weather.  Please bring your favorite gardening tools, gloves, and a water bottle!
