A workday was held at Little Lake Eureka on Thursday, April 24, at 9:30 a.m. Linda Rogers, Darla Danvers, Kim Yonkee, Melissa Sunshine, and Jennifer Boardman attended. The work accomplished included braiding some narcissus leaves as a demonstration, removing leaves and debris around the perimeter of the beds, deadheading Lenten Rose flowers to manage their seedlings, and dividing a Grape Crush aster plant, with half added to the flower bed. Heavy rain had caused erosion around the edge of the west garden bed. Kim Yonkee contacted the City of Eureka Springs to request repairs and also discussed updating the sign directing tourists to Little Lake Eureka to include the word “Garden”. More information will follow.
