October 8 workday at the Berryville Public Library. Randy Hooten, Anita Engert, and Jennifer Hudspeth with the help of a little junior master gardener watered, raked leaves, and pruned spent perennial foliage. The garden is struggling with the lack of rain although the coral drift roses, purple heart, beauty berry, and coneflowers are provide beautiful fall color. Plans are to plant spring-blooming bulbs when the ground is workable. The next workday is Tuesday, October 22.
