A number of shrubs and a dwarf Japanese Maple were removed with little notification from the Berryville Square, which means only one thing: Emergency Workday at the library! Anita Engert and Sue and Sam Davis swung into action to modify the garden to accommodate the maple and a couple of nandinas. Fortunately, the hole-digging for the maple beneath the century-plus-old post oak went smoothly with no root issues. The stately oak now has a little companion. The remaining shrubs all found homes. ~Sam Davis
