Workday July 23 at Fishes and Loaves. Deer have been enjoying the sweet potatoes. Leanne, Carsten (my grandson), and I harvested 1 1/2 lb. of produce and removed excess grass. The heat is adversely affecting the tomatoes, peppers, and squash. — Cynthia Osborne
We have now harvested 14 lb. of produce. Heat and white flies have hit the tomatoes hard and hurt production. Our regular workday is Wednesday at 9. Lite weeding and harvesting peppers, tomatoes and squash will be done. Thank you, Kathryn, Luanne for your hard work last week.
First harvest!!! Thank you Kristy Noble-Tesch for working at Loaves & Fishes. They were so pleased with the Master Gardeners for doing this project. Beverly Tiegland (L) taught me how to sex a bell pepper. She said the females are sweeter. (Imagine that 🤣) Susan Brandt (R) is the intake coordinator at the food bank.

We had a great work day at Loaves and Fishes. Thank you to our workers Kristy Noble-Tesch, Brenda Champlin (not pictured), Jennifer Boardman, Vonnie Dikeman, and Julie Sooter. We weeded, planted more tomatoes and peppers, watered and put out red pepper to deter the deer. We have two small bell peppers growing. Hopefully next week

Carroll County Master Gardeners are excited to announce their newest sanctioned project, called Come Grow with Carroll County. This initiative is in partnership with the Loaves and Fishes Food Bank in Berryville. The project’s intent is not only to provide fresh vegetables to the food bank but also to offer information and education on how
And so it begins: Randy Hooten & Monty Rexwinkle assembled the two raised beds for the new Come Grow with Carroll County project at the Loaves & Fishes Food Bank in Berryville. Cynthia Osborne, Gary Osborne and Monty Rexwinkle set up the beds and filled them. We’ll plant next week!
